Maggie Barch
Maggie Barch started her dance career in Chicago, studying Middle Eastern, Salsa and Bollywood dance styles. She performed for three years with a professional dance troupe in Chicago in a variety of venues, including the Chicago Theatre, and toured with the Macedonian pop star, Tosè. Maggie has been teaching dance for 15 years. She is a co-founder of TaMaMa Dance Company who recently created and performed their first full length modern dance piece. Maggie has choreographed for community productions such as the Nutcracker, the Blueberry Dance Festival, the Halloween Spectacle and the Peter White Library’s Bollywood Night. Maggie has developed and led creative movement classes for kids in Marquette thru the Marquette Arts and Culture Center as well as New Attitudes Dance Studio. She has also taught dance/movement workshops for the Youth Services Department of the Peter White Public Library. Most recently Maggie completed an Artist Residency with VSA Michigan, the state organization on Arts and Disability.
 
This is her fifth year working with “Dancing with our Stars Marquette County Style” and has had the privilege of coaching Jennifer Huetter & Reed Benton in 2017, Patty Barton & Scott Knaffla in 2016, Tracy & Dave Nyberg in 2015 and Kim & Jack Frost in 2014.
