Breck and Erick Brooks
Breck Ann & Erick Roger Brooks are both natives to Marquette, Michigan. For Breck, it was love at first sight when she first saw Erick. They met while attending the 2016 Kraft Hockeyville game at Lakeview arena and shortly after that started dating. They recently got married in August 2018 and have been enjoying the honeymoon stage of their marriage and look forward to this next chapter together!
Erick is the son to Roger and Lillian Brooks, both of Newberry. Erick graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Science from Northern Michigan University and has since had various jobs in sales. With his most recent position at Frei Chevrolet as a Sales Associate. One thing Erick really enjoys is volunteering for different organizations in the Marquette area. These include the Marquette Area Jaycees, Board of the Children’s Museum, Presque Isle Park Committee, City of Negaunee Fire Department and most recently was nominated for City of Marquette Planning Commission.
Breck is the daughter to Robert and Diane Tonella, both of Marquette. Breck along with Erick graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Science from NMU. She first went to NMU to receive her manicurist license but then went back 10 years later for her bachelors. She is currently a REALTOR at Select Realty where she has been working for the last five years. Some of her interests include hiking, music and spending time with family and friends. For the last two years she been a volunteer for U.P. Home Health & Hospice.
Together Erick and Breck have three children named Jordon, Ava and Aili. Jordon currently lives in Portland and works for NIKE, Ava is attending Grand Valley State in Grand Rapids and Aili is a junior at Marquette Senior High School. Their other family members include Stella and Baily; the two fur babies of the house. “We both agree family is everything and feel very blessed to have the family we do.”
Some other interesting facts about these two include; they both graduated from NMU with a Bachelor’s of Science in the Hospitality Management program. They love “camp” and try to spend as much time possible there during the summer months. Friends of the couple will tell you they are both obsessed with dogs. Breck would have 10 dogs if she could!
