Eliisa and Alex Herman

Eliisa and Alex  Herman (who are still trying to come to an agreement on a cool-enough team name), are ecstatic to be taking the stage in a much different manner than ever before! Their relationship blossomed via theater when they were cast together in Oklahoma. As their relationship flourished onstage, an offstage romance kindled as well. Since then, they’ve built a life together, including their 5-year-old son, Easton, and continue to perform in many local productions together including Sandy and Danny in Grease, and Cathy and Jamie in the Last Five Years.

Alex Herman graduated from Northern Michigan University in 2016 with a bachelors in Exercise Science, continued his education at Finlandia University, obtained a PTA certification, and began his career with UP Rehab, but he didn’t stop there! Alex was recently accepted to Concordia’s DPT program and is currently working towards his doctorate in Physical Therapy. With UP Rehab, Alex has volunteered and participated in many community events including Hope Starts Here, the Marquette County Special Olympics, and Relay for Life. In his free time, Alex enjoys watching sports, playing sports, coaching Easton, reading his neuroscience book, and cooking something up in the kitchen!

Eliisa Herman was born and raised in Marquette but graduated from Negaunee in 2013 (there’s just something about a Negaunee girl, right?). She is most known for her impact in local theater, acting, directing, and choreographing. She is a board member for the Lake Superior Theater and past board member/secretary for the Peninsula Arts Appreciation Council. Eliisa has worked with and volunteered for many youth organizations across the Upper Peninsula, including the Marquette Arts and Culture Center, Fortune Lake, and Calumet High School. Eliisa is the founder of her own Princess Party business, Bibbidi Bobbidi UP, and the NHS Varsity Cheerleading coach. She also maintains a full-time job as a Provider Relations Representative at Upper Peninsula Health Plan. In her free time (which there is very little of!), you can find Eliisa reading, spending time with her family, or watching Love Island.
