Taylor Kulju and Tristan Luoma are the force behind the iconic duo TnT, DYNAMITE! Coworkers first, friends second, this team has an edge above the rest – Tristan can drop it low and Taylor can… cheer him on. This duo has a strong community backing and hopes to engage their creative comrades in what is sure to be a wildly successful competition!
Taylor Kulju was born in Fairfax, Virginia, relocating to Ishpeming at a young age. She is a Northern Michigan University graduate with a focus in Theatre Performance, gracing the Forest Roberts Theatre stage in countless productions. She carried her love for the arts into a career with the City of Marquette Arts & Culture Center as Marketing and Promotions Assistant, as well as the Upper Peninsula Arts & Culture Alliance as Communications Specialist. Taylor is also a new addition to the Connect Marquette Board, serving as their marketing chair. In her spare time, she enjoys cheering for her pro hockey husband and laughing loudly with friends and family! She dedicates her performance to her grandmother, Kathleen Potila, who requested hospice in her final days, as well as a stiff bloody mary.
Tristan Luoma was born and raised in Marquette. He set sail to Ann Arbor to attend the University of Michigan where he earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration with a minor in music. After living and working in Ann Arbor for a few more years, he felt the pull to return home and settle back down on the shores of Superior. In 2017, Tristan began his career with the City of Marquette, where he currently serves as Arts & Senior Services Coordinator. He is also Director of Art on the Rocks, as well as an active committee and board member for the Marquette Symphony Orchestra, Hiawatha Music Co-op, and Marquette Area Sister Cities Partnership. In his free time, Tristan enjoys cooking and baking, playing the trumpet, and heated games of cribbage.
TnT are excited to be a part of the DWOS community, support U.P. Hospice Foundation, and totally blow your mind! BOOM
