Taylor and Kaylee Birmann are this year’s high school sweethearts turned newlyweds! With a massive support system both above and below the bridge, this dream team is ready to take their competition by storm. Hospice hits home for this pair and is the main reason they chose to participate in this competition. Taylor and Kaylee are dedicating their DWOS journey and their performance to Kaylee’s Nana, who recently passed away in January.
Kaylee Birmann is Michigan made and Marquette based. She has a BS from Western Michigan University in Special Education with a major in Spanish teaching. While Kaylee hasn’t had any involvement with dance specifically, she was a competitive gymnast for over 15 years. She is the Operations Manager for the Northbound Group of Thrivent Financial and is currently working on her licensing requirements to become a financial advisor. In Kaylee’s free time you can find her conversing with a variety of exotic house plants, biking out on the trails with her smokin’ hot coach, or simply sitting wherever the sun is shining. Kaylee is a big ball of smiles and energy, if you know her… you just love her!
Taylor Birmann was born and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He adventured north for school and attended Northern Michigan University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. After moving back home to Kalamazoo for a few years after graduation, he convinced Kaylee to leave the Hawaiian Islands and move with him to the great white north. Taylor grew up with a love for cycling that stemmed from his father and still is prevalent today. Being a previous member on the US National Cycling Team, in his free time you will find him competitively training for the upcoming race season and passing on the passion to his now wife. He is the Service Coordinator at Prime Specialty Contracting and occasionally, you can find him behind the lens of his camera.
